Zenfilm is the creation of Merideth Melville, Executive Producer and W. Ross Wells, Commercial Director. The pair have been making innovative broadcast advertising and advertising-as-art documentary projects together for over 15 years. Zenfilm was founded on the belief that no one should ever be punished for watching a tv commercial or corporate media project. With that concept in mind the company assembled a diverse, award-winning team of directors, post-production artists and production professionals. Natural light, kinetic energy, and a twisted sense of humor are what give us our power. We help agencies translate their concepts and storyboards into great TV spots, advertising-as-art documentaries and viral marketing campaigns.

Zenfilm creates innovative broadcast advertising, provides film production and hd production services, commercial directors, digital fx artists and editoral staff for a full range of ala carte and turnkey offerings. We are an agency service and creative partner, never a competitor. Directors are available individually or bundled with a variety of production and post offerings.
Zenfilm has a strong committment to the environment. Zenfilm's production facilities are powered by renewable energy and a portion of our profits go to support environmental causes. Part of Zenfilm's mission is to raise environmental awareness within the commercial production industry.
Merideth Melville is President and Executive Producer. She has served as Executive Producer and UPM on commercial and documentary projects on locations as remote as the Jungles of Borneo and as close to home as Houston Studios. Merideth is a gratuate of the University of Texas at Austin and a founding member and past President of the Houston Chapter of Women in Film. She is the creative point of contact for Zen's clients.
W. Ross Wells is a commercial director with over 17 years experience, specializing in comedy and visual storytelling. He has a national director's reel and extensive post-production experience as well. Ross started his commercial career as an editor, cutting national spots for major agencies. His clients have come to depend on his editor's intuiton both on the set and in the edit suite. Brands include Shell, MCI, Merck, SmithKlineBeecham, GlaxoSmithKline, Pro Tennis and many more. The Zenfilm team has extensive international production background and is experienced in finding and working on locations all over the world, a film production company with a true global perspective. We know how to put together a winning team under the most difficult circumstances. Every country has a slightly different approach to production services but film crews all seem to speak the same language, even when they don't. We do everything from Houston film production to Southeast Asia film production.
Post-production facilities provide SD and HD editorial services, motion graphic design, digital compositing and visual effects.
Zenfilm is based in Houston, Texas and is a mainstay in the Texas film production landscape. Production and post-production facilities are located in the heart of Houston's ecclectic Montrose district and are within walking distance of fine dining, shopping and entertainment.
